On Sunday night we drove a short ways down I-95 to Coastal 1 to Ogunquit, Maine. It’s a tiny beach town that is potentially the most quaint place I’ve ever visited. It’s straight from a movie.
Before arriving, we booked a two hour sailing trip from Perkins Cove on the Silverlining. Captain Jack and his mate Beau were great hosts – providing a crisp evening with a half rainbow and orangey sunset. We picked up some Shipyard Brewing Company Summer Ale, local from Portland Maine, and took it on board. Our time on the Silverlining was the most memorable time of the trip. I hope to revisit for a longer stay at some point.
After the chilly adventure, we sampled more chowder, lobster and scallops on the Cove before heading south to Portsmouth, New Hampshire!
