I spent this week adjusting back to the real world and day dreaming of cooking in my kitchen. Luckily, there is much to celebrate this weekend as my Pomsky pup turns 3 today! If you know me at all, you know how much I love my Westie, Winston. Just three years ago, he arrived home to Mendenhall on a rainy September day after just starting this blog.  During the puppy days filled with late night hours and house training, I thought I would never have time to blog and keep up with him. But, he has turned out to be quite the host himself (among other things like professional opossum hunter).

This weekend I’m looking forward to picking up corn, tomatoes and watermelon from the market. I’ll have some new summer recipes to share next week . I hope you find the time to cook and celebrate something this weekend too.
