This weekend I made a last minute visit to San Francisco to surprise my friend Tommy for his birthday. The weekend was full of many meals, old friends, new friends and late nights with the combination of my best friends from both coasts. Expect to see another long series of photos of good times and great food in SF. These travel reports will buy me time on the blog as I diet through the next few weeks to make up for all the eating! Stay tuned…more recipes soon.

In the meantime, enjoy this fun video Tommy took on Friday night. After an extremely long airplane ride west, we ate SUPER burritos at El Farolito in the Mission. This was surely the most modest of our meals but one of my favorites.
