There is an oasis across the Golden Gate Bridge called the Headlands Center for the Arts. Quiet and peaceful. Lots and lots of fresh air.
Lunchtime was shared with a new friend from the Second Street Gallery in Charlottesville, VA
inside the Headlands Kitchen & Mess Hall, an open communal space designed by artist Ann Hamilton. I had the Free Range Box including a chicken salad sandwich with tarragon, celery and apples on brick oven whole wheat, summer corn succotash, a short bread cookie, and fresh apricots. So delicious.
I skipped the Headlands afternoon hike for another Pecha Kucha session that included beer and cheese (although I was too full to consume anymore cheese). Surprised?
