I have to admit, I’m never very ambitious when it comes to dessert. The idea of making pastry dough seems daunting. Perhaps one day I’ll take the plunge but while cherries are in season I’ll pass on turning the oven on. A big bowl of cherries turned out to be the perfect (and light) dessert for my garden party. There is nothing like taking the liberty to throw cherries pits on the ground while you’re eating.
